The Delaware County Christian School decided to convert an underutilized 6,000 SF old Gymnasium and adjacent spaces into a new cafeteria with servery and kitchen space. In addition, a second-floor mezzanine features lounge areas for socializing and games.
The cafeteria feature Milder Furniture’s 6′ round tables with marmoleum laminate tops throughout the cafeteria.
Round tables can accommodate up to 8 chairs and are available in various sizes. In addition, smaller square tables to accommodate small workgroups are installed on the upper level.
As part of a classroom renovation at DCCS, Milder provided our Tangram tables. These triangular and parallelogram-shaped tables are light enough to quickly move to form shapes best suited for the activity at hand.

Tangram tables are shaped like triangles and parallelograms. Tables sides are 38″ long, available in birch plywoods with UV finish and marker board tops. Plywood edges left exposed, sanded, and waxed. The tables are small enough to be easily moved and arranged to form larger shapes to support small and large groups.

The Mobile Storage Partition Mini is the moveable locker you want: part display, part storage, and part space divider partition). The MSP Minis are a great addition to learning and work spaces for storing shared materials or individual lockers.

The Mobile Storage Partition Bench offers a display surface and lower storage below. The units can accommodate a flat-screen monitor and include a cable cutout concealed with an aluminum channels. A retractable power cable is mounted inside the storage.
The MSP Bench is 72” or 80” tall with storage at bench (21”) or counter (38”) height. Broadsides are finished in plain or magnetic marker board and/or FORBO cork linoleum.

The Milder Maker Table with Storage is designed for wet studio work and was developed in collaboration with experienced ceramicists.
The table top is 1” thick birch plywood top, overlayed with phenolic backer material on both sides–essentially, kraft paper sheets impregnated with phenolic resin. The phenolic top is waterproof and somewhat textured, offering the ‘grip’ desirable when working with clay. Unlike the typical canvas-covered tables, these tops are easy to clean and do not store clay dust. The top is reversible and can be flipped when the surface wears out.
The Clay Maker Table has (6) fixed cubbies. The lower storage comes with (18) that allows you to create custom sub-compartments. Plywood edge is sanded, oiled and waxed.

The McCabe Digital Library at Swarthmore College supports a range of student-centered activities: a lounge, eating nook, kitchen, and flexible study and lecture space.
The lecture area is outfitted with several dozen Flip-Top tables that can be arranged for group work or as a lecture hall. In addition, the Flip-top tables can be stowed away to open up the space for other activities as needed. To further support student work, there are several mobile markerboards and a mobile storage partition where supplies are kept.
Cava Architects developed a wall panel system that allows the space to be partially or fully closed off from the rest of the library.
Milder Furniture developed an ADA height-adjustable lectern, especially for Swarthmore.
